I had my second CT scan on Nov 20th, I received results today {Dec.17th) Ideally, I would have liked to have had an MRI(better to see inside pelvis walls~CT better to see Nodes), but??? I will be ALLOWED to have another scan in 5/6 months time. Meanwhile she will follow me for heamoraging and bi-monthly blood tests for the chronic anemia due to bleeding. With the lymph nodes growing, she said this is why I am in so much pain in my back. New Narcotic script and have a nice day..... OK I FINALLY!!!!! Got results today from the stupid CT scan that I had on November 20th. (P.S. today is Dec 17th) I am going to have to make an apointment with radiology directly @ the original hospital that did the first CT in July, as I only have the CD from this, it was NEVER explained to me, even though we asked... Anyway that shouldn't be a problem, as I have no doc to follow-up with, I think it's my right.
Ok Ok, so onto today. We met with the "Sympatathetic" doc, that is "Receiving" our ~Paperwork...... I obtained a copy of the Radiologists report, and it reads:
Follow-up Cervical Cancer NO TREATMENT~To rule Out Progression.
Findings:
In the pelvis there is a left external iliac lymph node which has significantly enlarged with current measurings of: 21 x 27mm (previously 10 x 15mm). A few small left internal iliac nodes are stable although the margins to the common iliac vein are less sharp which makes it difficult to exclude an infiltrating process. Small external iliac node on the right is essentialy unchanged. Small node sandwiched between the right common iliac artery and psoas is marginaly larger now measuring: 14.9 x 12.4mm (previously 15.7 x 9 mm). The dominant left para-aortic lymph nodes is more rounded than before and has clearly increased with current measurements of: 21.2 x 16.9mm (previous respective measurments 21.5 x 13.8mm). Some of the other smaller para-aortic nodes have shown a commensurate increase in size. The liver remains normal.Cholecystectomy is noted. Gallbladder removed) No biliary dilatation. The pancreas, spleen, adrenals and kidneys remain SATISFACTORY. There is no free fluid. Lung bases are clear. There is no significant bone process. There is no inguinal adenopathy.
IMPRESSION of Radiologist:
While some of the lymph nodes are unchanged, several have shown a significant increase in size keeping with progressive disease.
END REPORT: Nov 28th, 2008 { I'd wish he'd wrote OVEN n OUT here!!}
