"Need help"

Wife GBM was doing great last month, Wed found out tumor had quadrupled in 30 days and doc doesnt know if she can survive til Christmas , We had stopped dca for short time to let her get her energy back up and started back up last week. Her ph is always around 7 is that where it needs to be for the dca or not. Im not sure. To raise ph give lemon juice -to lower give baking soda-is that right. She takes 400 mg daily of B1 I have increased dca dose to 3 gms daily hoping to reverse this.Any suggestions. Her onco is switching her chemo and we may have to stop Avastin because her micro-hemorrages have now become larger. Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, this will not be available at least for the next two years.

My best guess would be to start LDN asap. It could slow tumor inrease and give you time to try more alternative treatments.

Tommy,

Remember.... HER PH is great!! Depending on the size of tumor (CD!!!) too much too fast... need slow n steady. Calculate her NORMAL doseage and maybe half it.... You alreay know DCA works and works FAST on Brain (YOU HAVE SEEN THIS IN PREVIOUS SCANS!!!), therefore just back off original doseage so as to shrink it slow n steady, but not so FAST that it causes heamorage (sp?) PLUS, keep up with the (B-1 & ALA)

OTHERWISE, if it is in a place that they could cut it out safely???so as to remove bulk/CAUTERIZE and then ASAP go back on the DCA 2 weeks on DCA one week off @ half dose to ensure that it could NOT grow back....

Just my thoughts, again it is just me ELizabeth not a doctor... but hurting for you two. BIG THING, calm n collected, not fast and freaked out. Take a little time to weigh options.

We are ALL here for you 2

How much I do not know, I am going to my cupboard right now to get some for me, I suppose I will start with dose it says on side of bottle, if no change than I will increase by one, till no more inflamation. (will help liver inflamation I have been having)

Ok Ok, got some stuff GOOD stuff, you can order on NET ASAP:

POLY-MVA (Used in conjunction with: Artemisinin = Wormwood ENHANCES each other!!)NOTE: Easy on Wormwood, as can be toxix.

http://www.polymva.net/

"" POLY-MVA is a high antioxidant nutritional drink which has several nutrients, including: ALpha lipoic acid. Wellness directory of Minnesota's website says this is one cancer treatment that can even cross the "Blood-brain barrier". THis is good news for those fighting brain tumors, and may be helpfull in reversing other types of cancers.""

ALSO:
" Pau'Darco A.K.A. Taheebo >> AN extract of Pau'Darco = Lapacho {Certain componants of Lapacho have been found to supress tumor formation AND particularly in BRAIN TUMORS) ....... it is produced from the inner bark of a tree found in the Brazilian Rain Forest.
CAUTION:>> Since Lapacho has blood thinning properties, you NEED to discuss ths tea with your Natropath/Doctor(MAKE aware)
SUMERIZED>>>> A man using Pau'Darco tea for several weeks>>CAT SCAN shows LARGE BRAIN TUMOR >> Doctors classed him as "UNTREATABLE"

BUDWIG DIET: 1 tablespoon of Organic Flaxseed oil mixed in with 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese. (Blended together, so not devided!!) taken 3/4 times per day. (EXCELLENT @ cell repair, especially in BRAIN)

PAW PAW Cell Reg************

This is a description of the product:

Paw Paw Cell-Reg™ selectively targets specific cells to enhance the overall health of the body. Paw Paw twigs contains acetogenins-active compounds that modulate the production of ATP in mitochondria of specific cells, which affects the viability of specific cells and the growth of blood vessels that nourish them. A recent clinical study with over 100 participants showed that the paw paw extract, containing a mixture of acetogenins, supports the body's normal cells during times of cellular stress. Paw Paw Cell-Reg is a valuable tool in strengthening and supporting the immune system. This patent-pending product is the only standardized acetogenin product available to regulate specific cells. Each capsule contains 12.5 mg of standardized paw paw twig extract. Take 1 capsule with food four times daily. Do not take with Co-Q10, Thyroid Support, SOD or 7-Keto™. Do not exceed the number of recommended servings. Only those who desire to target specific cells should take this product on a regular/daily basis.>>>>

Also:
The Paw Paw tree is native to the eastern United States. The paw paw standardized extract is taken from the twigs of the Paw Paw tree where the bioactive components called annonaceous acetogenins are most concentrated.
•Patent Pending
•Selective for Abnormal Cells
•The Only Standardized Acetogenin Product Available
•Slows the Production of ATP in Mitochondria of Abnormal Cells*****
•May Help Modulate the Growth of Blood Vessels Near Abnormal Cells******
I understand that there is only one scientist that has been allowed a patent to use this. This is the website that I will be ordering from:
http://www.healthy-sunshine.com/nspshopping/shopexd.asp?ID=692
I have not been able to find this in health food stores, but with the ONLY manufacturers Co. name available, you may be able to.

Be careful taking PawPaw with DCA. It may act in competition, rather than synergy...

Regarding Poly-MVP or Poly-MVA... Please see posts #18 and #19 here:

Quote:

'Vitamin Boss,
I looked at the link you posted on poly-MVA and thought it was very promising. I sent it to my naturopath to get his opinion on whether I should use it, and he agreed that it looked good on the website, but said he had patients who used it and had their tumors grow. (He is not some quack either - his first degree is in electrical engineering). Just want to pass that information on to you.

Take care,
Sandra

Sandra,
I agree on what your Doctor told you regarding Poly-MVA. I think there are several factors to consider. One of the Scientists working with it did state that it works better on more agressive, fast growing cancers. Also, it seems not to work too well in people with bad immune systems.

When I personally tried it, within 2 weeks i developed a rapid tumor lysis syndrome along with the side effects that Poly-MVA can cause in some people such as shortness of breath, low blood sugar, and a general cold and weak feeling. It was horrible and i discontinued treatment with it. I think the people behind it should realize the risk of it working too fast in some individuals and the fact that it can cause such a rapid lysis. My blood markers reflected a good response to it. Once again, my cancer is purely trophoblastic and hihgly fermentative, maybe that is one reason for the good response.

However, I have a family friend who's son has Glioblastoma Multiforme of the spine, who got on Poly-MVA after 3 cycles of chemo, and after a few months of feeling generally well on it, a rapid decline came on all of a sudden, and the cancer spread aggresively to his chest, neck and brain. I must add that this boy does not keep any diet, and unfortunately cannot follow any detox protocols because he is wheelchair bound. Perhaps this is also a factor.

Sorry for delay in update, Micro hemorrages turned to hemorrage, she lost her right side from her face to her foot. Her platelet count stayed up and slowly stopped the hemorrage on its own ( I credit DCA for this because her platelet count has always dropped to almost transfusion stages in all previous chemo cycles.) She has regained feeling in her face and leg but not her arm. She went into panic attacks and has been on combination of nerve meds to control nerves,so it has been difficult to tell if DCA is helping with tumor progression, but she doesnt seem to be getting worse as far as headaches/pressure.She is very lethargic because of nerve meds and she is on 25mg/kg DCA. I have noticed a difference in her on increased DCA.She was on 12mg/kg but after last scan I saw no choice but to increase it and keep it WITHIN A SAFE RANGE-Ive read alot about dosages and 100mg/kg- no way I would do that to my wife without results behind it.Her right eye was drooping before the hemorrage ,after results of tumor progression and now it is not -so a little bit of hope that it is working.Kids are doing ok-want their mom for christmas ,thats all. Hoping to make it the best christmas ever with or without time to get gifts. Will update soon.

Brief update, wife has been doing B1,Alpha Lipoic,Potassium , B 12,Fish Oil , Flaxseed Oil , cottage cheese and 1 gram DCA morning,1 gram DCA evening, along with Etoposide chemotherapy,Dexamethasone,Keppra,Xanax,Ranitadine, paxil, ambien, atavan and metformin. All prescribed by doctor. After reviewing side effects of meds.Cut out atavan, ambien, metformin (her sugar level checked daily and never warrants this)xanax and keppra cut to half doses-and doubled paxil as she has had severe panis attacks since hemmorrage. She is calmer now and as far as tumor progression,I havent seen any changes for the worst. For someone that may not survive til christmas-I am thinking that if the DCA wasnt working,I would have noticed some worsening of tumor related symptoms,I havent seen this so far and am being hopeful that DCA is doing its part in helping. No scan set up til after New Year,So we are winging it til then. Thanks for all the info that everyone has sent-it has changed her for the better I do believe. Tommy

Tommy,
I like your list of supplements. But I was reading that brain cancer patients have elevated levels of the COX-2 enzyme. I thought if possible, it might be good to add some supplements which target this.

Nexrutine:

I think EGCG and Zyflamend are also good.
