"Kathi passed away last week"
| |
Kathi passed away last week after battling breast cancer since 1998. We tried DCA in conjunction with conventional therapy. My feeling is that DCA did her some good. We discontinued it during her latest round of chemo, but it's possible we should have kept it up. I think that if you have some breathing room, you should try the more natural approaches/DCA that others at this forum have been using. Chemo is a very hard master. The problem for Kathi is that the disease was mestastasized and needed some agressive treatment by the time it was discovered, hence the radiation/chemo which, of course, weakens the immune system. Since her BC was triple negative, the 'targeted' therapies were not available, just good old chemo and radiation She did last a lot longer than the original timeline, and enjoyed life up to the last. I'll keep checking in here once in a while to see how goes the fight. Bob |
