"DCA is"

   Maybe I'm missing something here...

One news clip I watched talked about it costing "pennies per dose". The main sections of this site talk about DCA being "very cheap"...

Going by the dosage calculator, it seems an average dose is towards 1 gram per day. Correct?

While I found what appears to be "industrial grade" DCA at $110 for 500 grams, pharmaceutical grade stuff is going for just under $2 per gram.

At $2 per day, that would sure seem to add up. I'm guessing most people can't afford these numbers, especially not after being financially raped by the medical establishment, not being able to work due to sickness, and so on.

Am I missing something here?

I mean, there's scores of natural things out there that at a full gram per day might give similar results, without side effects, for actual pennies per "dose".

I was really excited about DCA, and still really hope it lives up to the hype.

   Phew, that sounds... unhappy.

Let's see... your idea of about $2 per day sounds about right. That makes it about $60 per month. Surely not the end of the world?

I can only say that I am seriously happy that the USA threw me out in 2000, three years before my brain cancer showed up. Here in Germany I am insured, meaning that my chemo medication is paid for (thank heavens!), and the DCA might be paid as well (I'll know in a week or so, the insurance chap said I should try - didn't expect I could). Furthermore, I get almost my normal pay every month, also from the insurance, meaning I don't have to move out of our apartment of anything like that...

If you don't have such insurance (mine is a pretty standard one), how would you be able to afford a chemo therapy? That stuff costs a bit over $6000 per month... $60 for a rather hopeful DCA experimant seems nothing compared to that...

Ciao,
Klaus
