"DCA AND THYROID PROBLEMS"
 
   My husband has been diagnosed in March 2009n with NSCLC stage IV. He is 43 years old. We began DCA and TM in August 15th with minimul side effcts. On September 24th I began noticing change in body temperature - it went down to 33C or 91,5 F and his blood pressure was fluctuating between 75/50 to 12/70. His whole system went out of whack! We were admitted to hospital on September 29th and found a severe Thyriod problem. Could the DCA caused this? Has anyone had this type of side effect. We are now off DCA but since his prognosis is so bad (please note that he has bone mets (now taking radiation), mets in the adrenlain glands had mets in the brain but had Gamma Knife and as strange as all of this sounds he has no tumor or fluid in his lungs! As soon as he comes out of the hospital we want to start the DCA again.

Any help will be appreciated

   Waht kind of thyroid probelms did he have? Ny wife just got a couple of biopsies on her thytroid (no results yet), because they noticed a couple of nodes (all new).
She has Triple Negative BC metastisized to brain/lung.

   Rob (O'Connor - Stage 4 lung cancer has been on DCA since November, 08. His thyroid stimulating hormone was 1.5

   Results back. It was a primary Thyroid tumor, but biopsy being sent to Johns Hopkins for review.
