"Mountain Dew"

I was reading the successful report by Tim and the very small protocol he used successfully being dca, green tea extract and B1 all taken once a day in the morning with (to date) no side effects. His great response may be a factor of cancer type, his youth or genetics but I noticed he also takes his DCA with Mountain Dew.

I went looking for the contents of Mt Dew. Wiki came up with:

Carbonated water
Sugar (replaced by High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) in much of the United States)
Concentrated orange juice
Citric acid
Natural flavors
Sodium benzoate (preserves freshness)
Caffeine (54 mg per 12 US fluid ounces (350 ml))
Sodium citrate
Erythorbic acid (preserves freshness)
Gum arabic
Calcium disodium EDTA (to protect flavor)
Brominated vegetable oil
Yellow 5
Thiamin hydrochloride

Diet Mountain Dew: Sugar/HFCS is replaced with:

Concentrated Orange Juice
Citrus pectin
Potassium benzoate (preserves freshness)
Aspartame
Potassium citrate
Acesulfame potassium
Sucralose

Interestingly Mountain Dew has high caffeine- although not in Australia and Canada where the laws prevent its addition. We know caffeine appears to be an effective addition to DCA protocols but I wonder if anyone here has replicated Tim's protocol exactly- including washing it down with Mt Dew in case one of the other ingredients listed above somehow assists in DCA's mechanism of action?

One of the other reasons why Mountain Dew might be significant is something that has been discussed elsewhere on this site but as yet we have no answer to- namely whether ingesting forms of glucose along with dca would be beneficial because as the cancel cells suck up the glucose and the dca kick starts the mitochondria, ROS production within the cell from both activated energy pathways would conceivably be greatly amplified and hopefully ROS triggered apoptosis would then occur specifically within the cancer cells.

Sandra was of the opinion glucose should be avoided and normally when not taking dca I'd agree with her. But the concept of feeding cancer to death and getting it to burn itself up while making dca more effective so it needs to be taken less often and thereby avoid neuropathy also has appeal..

Of course the apoptosis/ROS pathway which appears to depend on cardiolipin would need to be intact and operational for this approach to work.

I think it is dangerous to consume a lot of glucose when one has cancer. We need to differentiate glucose from fructose. Fructose is metabolized differently.

Here is a quote from the A.P. John Cancer Institute:
'Vinegar (and fructose) are two natural products that increase the production of both ACETIC ACID and CITRIC ACID in the body.

Acetic acid and citric acid also help fight cancer by shutting down the process of glycolosis. Normal cells derive most of their daily energy supply from acetic acid and citric acid, where as cancer cells derive most of their daily energy from glycolosis.'

I don't think Tim was using diet Mountain Dew. Aspartame itself is dangerous (causes neural damage and brain tumors) but it is even worse with DCA because it is a precursor to the metabolites that build up and block the MAAI pathway.
