As you probably know from other posts, a Phase 2 clinical study has begun in Canada after Health Canada approved it recently.This appears to be the only large organization to show any support for this drug.
No national research funding agencies like the NRC or Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation have supported the research. Only indiviual donations got this project off the ground.
Either these national funding organizations are incompetent or corrupt.
Dr. Michelakis appears to be laying the framework for other researchers to raise funding for other studies involving less profitable potential cures. Which is almost as daunting a task as fighting cancer.
Well done Health Canada, all the individual donators and the lab that didn't give up when traditional funding failed them.
