"DCA in Sweden?"
| |
I have followed the debate about DCA for years, and forwarded articles to M.D.friends, but I did not expect to need the substance myself so soon... I would like to purchase a minor amount of DCA if any of you have any left. My cat seems to suffer from lymphoma, I will try to get the diagnosis tested at the only animal hosspital in northern Sweden before the end of the week. Sodium dichloracetate has apparently had good effect on cancer in test animals, but is not yet available for veterinary use. To save time, I intend to arrange for the purchase of the substance before I get confirmation frm the animal hospital. A company in Canada (buyDCA.com) is selling high-grade sodium dichloracetate but charge prohibitive air mail costs from Canada (more than a hundred bucks for the smallest sample). Do any of you have any small amount of DCA left that I might purchase? Or might any of you be willing to act as an intermediary and buy it from the relevant site, and airmail it onward to me? I will naturally pay for all costs, but since I am not certain the substance will be effective or even needed I hesitate to pay the big air mail surcharge quoted by the company. (Sorry if I sound cheap, but if there is a different diagnosis, I must still have enough money to pay for that treatment as well)My plight may seem trivial compared to the tragedies recounted elsewhere on the site, but as any pet owner knows, a pet is very much a family member.... BTW, The same week Michelakis´ article hit the internet some years ago, my aunt was diagnosed with late-stage pancreatic cancer. I showed the article to the doctor, but failed to make him interested. My aunt died a week later. In retrospect, I feel bitter about it. Yours Birger Johansson Umeå, Sweden |
