My plight may seem trivial compared to the tragedies recounted elsewhere on the site, but as any pet owner knows, a pet is very much a family member....
BTW, The same week Michelakis´ article hit the internet some years ago, my aunt was diagnosed with late-stage pancreatic cancer. I showed the article to the doctor, but failed to make him interested. My aunt died a week later. In retrospect, I feel bitter about it.
