My Mother is currently undergoing her final session of chemotherapy. After this there is nothing they can do for her. She took all the information to her oncologist excited that there was an alternative. To her surprise she was told to throw it in the rubbish bin and that DCA is a waste of time and wouldn't work. The Dr would not even stop to look at it. She traveled back up north and gave it to her nurse who also backed up the oncologist and said that it simply wouldn't work and she would not support it. I am so shocked that our "professional doctors" have become so one eyed and not even prepared to look outside the square. My mother already has her death sentence, she already knows she is on borrowed time and may not be here for Christmas. What does she possible have to loose by trying DCA? What is wrong with having hope and trying something that is possibly more effective than the chemotherapy she has been having for the past year. With DCA she has hope. We live in New Zealand and so far have not been able to find where to get DCA. With unsupportive professionals her hope is being dashed again. If anyone knows where and how we can get DCA please let me know.
