"DCA and Caffeine dosing for the 6th day"

My wife went out and bought a big cup of starbucks after us reading adn looking into this. We had such good results last August when she was taking a mocha to chemo and I was buying her those cheap coffees from 711, and she was drinking a ton of green tea loaded with caffeine.

I had her stop the coffee and the heavy caffeine thinking it messed with her PH but we have enough tools now to keep her PH around 7+. It falls to 6.5 once a week but we manage to keep it under control most of the time so we do not think its a problem.

The second day she started her coffee and tea again she started to get very tired and started to sleep like the dca was hitting her very hard of something was making her feel a bit dizzy. Its weird because she never had DCA hit her like that - since she was doing coffee and caffeine drinks last year.

Measuring our slap stick results

In august of last year we stopped and after about three weeks her cancer started to spread or come back again so we will see. I beleive she is experiencing what happened to her before Tumor Lysis and the DCA at the dose she was at is to strong when used with caffeine.

I am giving her a break from DCA today and tomorrow and in two weeks we will have a scan to see the results of al this. I think the scan is comming at a good time - it will be one month of caffiene with 200 mg of B1 with DCA. It will either be right on or it will suck! but my bet and her bet is on DCA since she is going on her 15 month of non stop Ping Pong.

Remember folks this lady was given 4 - 6 months with treatment due to stage IV lung cancer and metastasis into her lymphnodes and her bones.

Her CEA in the last reading 3 weeks ago was "39" and I think her next marker will come out at "19" - maybe "23", its just a hunch but I have been within about 90 % correct for the past year. I can tell by how she acts and feels over a perriod of time - wierd but she is very very tuned in to her body and acts on those responses.

We should never forget "why" we are here on this site.
Folks like my wife were condemmed to death and had terror struck into our hearts when we needed their strength and encouragement the most.

We can love them all but we cannot forget them as hypocrates and liers. Who in their right mind gets on a team who's track record is < 3 % or averages 13% over all for 2 years! we have shaken their comfort zone and we will challenge them and what they stand for.
Be Here Now! we live! we fight on! and we will win!

My dear friend said we have found our lightening and soon we will bring the thunder - We will beat Cancer!

God Bless Us All!

Lien is stil ahving problems walking but whatever hit her leg must of hit the lungs to becuase she is 100% cough free. Not cough at all - like it dissapeared over night. She was losing the cough with alergy pills but she is off of those now.

I cannot say for sure but I think we did a number on cancer when we switched with all that dca in her system. It was like a bomb went off in her but we will see for sure in two weeks.

I cannot help but think DCA has done its thing.

All the best and god bless

   Hello Oracle and others,

I've been on DCA 24 mg/kg/day for 3 weeks and yesterday I felt it was enough; I had some of the same side effects as Lien : sleeping all day, dizziness but also red rash on arms and lower legs, difficulty in breathing, feeling very weak : it feels like kind of an allergic reaction;
that's why I decided to go back to 12 mg/day till wednesday when I have my CT-scan results;
I think Jim is right with his dose of 10mg/kg/day when using DCA for a longer period; tea time now !

Luke

   The problem with consuming caffeine from tea and coffee is that you never know how much you're getting.

Synthetic caffeine from NoDoz or Vivarin, at 200 mg/pill, is a more reliable source, and quicker. No need to prepare and drink tea and coffee all day long.

Caffeine is known to be acidifying. But does increasing alkaline intake to negate caffeine's acidity also negate the effect of caffeine on cancer?

See the ranges of caffeine in coffee and tea:

http://coffeetea.about.com/library/blcaffeine.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caffeine

Is caffeine's effect on cancer with DCA dose-dependent? the more you take, the more the effect?

The Wikepedia article says the half-life of caffeine (how quickly the body will metabolize 200 mg of caffeine to 100 mg) in healthy Adults can vary enormously, but is about 3-4 hours, meaning caffeine should be consumed 2 or 3 times/day.

So if you want to get any sleep, no caffeine 5-6 hours before bed.

Melatonin is a hormone depleted in cancer people and helps with sleep so taking 20 - 30 mg of melatonin an hour before bed should help offset the caffeine.
