"Glucose, Cancer and DCA"
| |
Hi there, A bit of background: Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. Surgery not possible. Chemo now not possible due to effects on the immune system. BUT A hell of a will to live!!!So an ideal candidate for DCA.Just started DCA at 10mg/kg. Also started the Budwig diet 2 weeks ago. Energy levels picked up noticeably since start of Budwig. But I' confused about something - like a lot of you, I'm sure all the medical terminology is a bit of a mine field, but learning fast. So, to my question about Glucose/sugar etc. I have read conflicting evidence about glucose in the diet, one that cancer feeds like crazy from it and another that its a strong energy source for the individual with the cancer. The Budwig diet says absolutely no sugar, but fruit (which obviously is full of fructose) is a staple part of the diet which is allowable. For anyone with the requisite knowledge - is glucose/sugar/fructose/sucrose... the same thing basically? Is it complementary to the fight against cancer? Does it complement DCA use? This is new to me - so be gentle. Now I'm on board though - I'll keep you posted.

Ok here is how I understand it from a very basic level that really is much deeper than what I am posting. My wife gets weekly low dose treatments of chemo and on that day - the one day only we make a trip to the crispe creme shop and get the double dozen deal so she can share with the others getting chemo that day. Purpose: study shows that starved cancer cells gobble up the glucose and the poisen in the chemo is also bonded with the glucose hence it loads the cancer cells up and kills them. Once chemo day is over we stop all sugar intake with the exception of a bit of honey or pure maple syrup to sweeten her cup of cottage cheese and flax. A cancer cell has many times the mouths/receptors than our healthy cells about 15 to 1 and it needs them because its must grow all blood supplies to feed itself on the outer part of the cell. its a freak and so it has no normal blood supply. When you stop all sugar and eat low fat cottage cheese with flax it generates a sulphuric delivery to the cancer cell causing cell death. It also mediates the lactic acid status of the body and helps to alkaline it. The cancer cells love lactic acid and from what I understand use it as a vehicle to burn though tissues and spred to other parts of the body and to become reneagade cancer cells in the first place. The cells will get their glucose one way or another but if your pumped up with the right alkalined environment the body has a better shot at decommisioning the struggling cancer cells through the use of DCA and the immune system. If you feed it lots of sugar for no reason and are not delivering poisen to the cancer cell then cancer has no need to struggle and can sit and spawn in all its lactic acidic glory. Anyway I cannot say more than that and even that might not be exactly correct Oracle |

Here's a brief quote from the above website: "Ketones help fight cancer by impairing glycolosis – a process in which cancer cells depend almost exclusively upon for their daily supply of energy. Vinegar (and fructose) are two natural products that increase the production of both ACETIC ACID and CITRIC ACID in the body. Acetic acid and citric acid also help fight cancer by shutting down the process of glycolosis. Normal cells derive most of their daily energy supply from acetic acid and citric acid, where as cancer cells derive most of their daily energy from glycolosis." |
