Greetings,
I am a care giver and fan of an 90 pound fighter who's record is currently - Cancer Fighter with her apponent Stage IV Lung Cancer Lymphoma on the ropes taking a serious whooping!. NOTE: Serious reactions to drugs TAXOL and TAXOTERE once we started
on DCA. She had the same protocol at larger doses in Oklahoma
while not on DCA with no TAXOL or TAXOTERE reactions.
Reaction Type:
She had her lungs simply seize up so she could not breath. the first time was about ten minutes into treatment. The second time the same thing happened and the third time it was 2 hours into her treatment and we just about lost her.
Our oncologist then moved her to a new nano delivery drug called abraxane that is powerful and after two treatments in two weeks she has shown great improvement and no reactions.
The Cause:
It might be due to an increased frequency of treatment even though it was at smaller doses. We were all pretty sure it was not DCA related more to TAXOL and TAXOTERE's toxicity but we cannot say for sure. We are just posting this reaction to be cautious with TAXOL derivitives period. If you can - ask about abraxane who knows it might be an added bonus to work well with DCA as well as having far less side effects.
Please keep in mind we have professional watchful eyes on her every week and they would yell halt if there was any doubt about this.
Our protocol:
Every week she has Chemo(carboplatin, abraxane, etc, etc )with avastin added every 2nd treatment, Anti-Oxidents, Vitamins, Lemons(in everything including her organic chicken), green teas, calcium/magnesium, Selenium, multivitamin(3 a day)
Special mention: Flaxseed(oils+seeds) L_glutamine 30mg, coQ10, Melatonin(20mg), Low fat cottage cheese, blueberries, Vitamin D(8- 10,000 mg), alkaline +
My wife is an awesome cancer fighter that has been on DCA steady now for 8 weeks and we are currently very excited about how things are going. She was a medical student in medical school for 2 years and was going to be a doctor so until we had some feedback from a real doctor/professionals we had to wait before starting dca and thank god we found help from real doctors who have more compassion than they will ever be given credit for.

The Cancer Fighters Short Story:
MY wife was placed into a clinical study after we were told she would not live more than 8 - 10 months with her form of cancer - by the way this nasty agressive cancer had been stable for about three months prior to starting the trial - we give that glory to the anti-oxidants that we were pouring down her throat like soup
.
They told us her cancer had moved from 0 to stage 4 in 12 months so we were thinking hmm does she have time to drive home before their termination sticker kicks in.
As we sat in a room with me crying my eyes out and my wife tightening her fists saying Im not gone yet daddy. the oncologist that left the room for 10 minutes after giving my wife her death sentence came back and offered - a clinical study!. No pallitive treatment was offered to us just go home or take the study. How we love Cancer Care Alliance for that - grrrrrr!
She went on the study of tarceva and off all anti-oxidents except for our flaxseed protocol and we had good news from the oncologist after 3 weeks. We then finally fell to pressure and went off of the flax and within a week my wife said she felt like something was really wrong and on the 6th week of the study we were told the cancer was spreading worse than before! plus her lymphnodes that had been under control/gone were now huge and there were now 3 of them.
Then they offered with hanging head - pallative chemo and it was then I realized there was no way this place was going to work for us. The very week she was going to start chemo with those wacko's we contacted Cancer Treatment Centers of America - wow do they rock! God bless those folks - wow are they something.
She is so healthy now and I firmly believe we are definately winning this fight on all fronts and that DCA is why she put on those two pounds these past 4 weeks.
Honesty we simply do not see how cancer can win being so out gunned as long as we keep our whits and never fail to always be wary of cancers cowardly methods of spreading. It is after all brainless even if its inside of us and counts on us to die of fear - its still brainless and vulnerable and a loser!
NOTE:
A CT will be taken after her 12th treatment so get ready folks because I really think the results are going to be as good as she looks and feels - Fantastic DCA results and Inspiring for us all!
God Bless All of you -
