"Funding of clinical trials"
| |
I have read something that I find rather strange: http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2007/03/21/3797137-sun.html See sentence: If Tassano were truly interested in helping to fight cancer, Michelakis said, "he'd lobby to speed up clinical trials and help fund them." I do wonder if dr. Michelakis funds his own clinical trials (like working for free), because according to himself he isn't truly interested in helping to fight cancer if he doesn't funds his own clinical trials. |

Doctors willing to help, fear monetary repercussion, pharma companies are concerned with profit loss. The patient is the one left on their own and has the most to loose- LIFE!There is an opportunity to find out if DCA is helpful or not – IND's from all directions. There would be medical supervision, Lord knows there are plenty of volunteers, the chemical is readily available, information on the effects on the human body has been established through other clinical trial settings. I've been trying in my own life situation, but yet haven't found the doctor within my insurance plan that will assist in securing the single patient IND. (I'm far from wealthy enough to secure outside insurance) I'm hopeful that perhaps someone else might be more successful and begin to open doors to this valuable source of treatment. |
