"new DCA trial at U. of Alberta"

University of Alberta will start recruiting patients (15 all told) for a Phase 1 Newly diagnosed Glioblastoma trial, sponsord by the Alberta Cancer Board. The dosage is surprisingly low: 3mg/kg twice daily.

For details see :

http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00703859?term=glioblastoma&rank=22
Any comments ?

Don't know what the Alberta Cancer Board is, but such a low dose may guarantee failure, which is useful if you want to point to a study that 'proves' a drug is not effective.

Maybe I'm just paranoid.

i wonder if this might be a clue that the first trials
look promising. Dr. M seems to be holding his cards
tightly to his chest. he hasnt updated his web page
since sept. 24th, 2007.
