"November issue LifeExtenson magazine"
 
   The Nov issue of LE has a lot on cancer. There is an excellent overview on metformin entitled "Anti-Cancer Effects of Metformin." And an article on vitamin K and cancer. It also has an excellent article on how the FDA gets persuaded by drug companies to prevent approval of effective cancer drugs of other companies to keep their less effective competitors selling well, and how the FDA refuses to let cancer patients access to drugs before they are approved, which we are fighting for. It provides a cite to write to your representitive about this. I strongly recommend picking up a copy of this issue! (and writing congress about the approval process.)

   Just upped my daily intake of Metformin to 400 mg from 200 mg.

   How is it working for you? I just bought some in 500 mg pills. I understand it is taken for diabetes 500 - 1000 mg/d. I'm starting with 1 1/2 pills/d.

   I have no way of knowing if it is working or not. Wish I did.

Am taking the Metformin, DCA, stopped fish oil, Vit D3 and am about to start taking a gram of Tagamet (Cimetidine) a day.

The only thing I think I know is that DCA is working for me. At 18 months I feel fine and have no symptoms of my metastatic colon cancer.

   That's wonderful. Tagamet looks like something I should start taking as well! I mean I will... Why have you stopped taking fish oil??

Another note on Metformin is that I would add 3-4 teaspoons of baking soda for the lactic acidosis. I have been taking baking soda and after being on metformin for a few days I'm seeing athlet's foot, which I associate with acid.

(I have not been able to figure out how things that are very acidic are anti-cancer when cancer thrives on acid.)
