"Use CoQ10 and Niacinamide Instead of Dichloroacetate (D"

Use CoQ10 and Niacinamide Instead of Dichloroacetate (DCA) to Treat Cancer? – A ‘Crazy’ Theory.

Does this make any sense?

First of all, Niacinamide, the precursor to NADH (which is sold as a dietary supplement) is also known as Coenzyme 1, which is the major catalyst in most cellular metabolic reactions. Tumors require plenty of NADH to proliferate and biosynthesize ATP (which is also used by the tumor). Secondly, it is only THEORY that all cancer cells are strictly anaerobic, this is FALSE! Only the very aggressive population of cells that have a poor blood/oxygen supply revert to glycolysis (Anaerobic glycolysis) in order to survive, which in turn activates angiogenic factors in order to receive more glucose/fructose. There is a large population of cells which has a great oxygen supply and will only THRIVE in the presence of CoQ10 which is used in cellular respiration (part of the electron transport chain). NADH actually works with CoQ10 and sustains its conversion to CoQH2 (Ubiquinol). They are both TUMOR SUPER FOOD!

This is why the Paw-Paw cell reg protocols (which deplete and shut down tumor ATP synthesis as well as inhibit mitochondrial respiration at complex I) prohibit the use of CoQ10 supplementation and any vitamin catalyst that may increase cell energy while on this treatment (which is pretty effective in tandem with other treatments). The bottom line is, tumors need energy to thrive and NADH & CoQ10 assist in this process.

The assertion that most cancer cells "live" in an aerobic, oxygen-rich environment contradicts the Warburg Effect. The assertion would also negate the usefullness of PET scans, since the cancer cells uptake glucose 200:1 versus normal cells. DCA is thought to work by downregulating glycolysis. It is widely believed that cancer cells have damaged mitochondria, inhibiting the apoptotic cascade of cytokines, etc. A cancer cell is obviously a "damaged" cell. The mitochondria "reads" the cell for damage and proceeds with apoptosis when damage is detected. It stands to reason that substances such as CoQ10 and PQQ(pyrroloquinoline quinone) might be beneficial. The PQQ actually enables the formation of new mitochondrian and the CoQ10 delivers the energy required for respiration, i.e., normal mitochondrial function.

Also, it has been proven that the mitochondria in cancer cells are NOT damaged, but simply not used (in those that run on glycolysis)due to a survival mechanism thats been switched on. Because cancers main goal is not to produce energy like normal cells, but its to proliferate faster, and that does not require much ATP. So trying to feed it more energy catalysts won't accomplish much except by fueling those cells that actually use these enzymes (NADH & CoQ10).

DCA works differently. It works by triggering the apoptotic cascade via the mitochondria by forcing it to activate its cell respiratory function. CoQ10 will never force a non activated mitochondria into working, at least not in those cells that actually use it. Thats the worrisome part with using large doses of endogenous compounds with cancer; Cancer loves it all, and the more you supply, the more it learns to use whatever amount you throw at it. DCA isn't an endogenous compound, therefore, it works.

Thanks for the reply. Don't understand it but trust in your understanding of it. Didn't sound right to me.

Ad hominem attacks do not further our understanding, therefore this post has been redacted.
