"Need help about"
 
   Hi , my mom had a pancreatic canser in 1 - 1 - 2010 she hve ca 19 9 is 180 and keep growing ups slowlly ,, until 20 -10 -2010 her ca 19 9 mark 380 , after that she took dca 10 mg / kg wight and 5 cups of black tea + vitamin b1 .
After took that treatment for 2 weeks my mom canser 19 9 mark 598 , i'm do shcok that after taking dca my mom canser
increas almost 200 .. How come ??

   I think that her mom's dose is very low. Increasing DCA to a level >30mg/Kg might be a good idea. Don't expect miracles, but it will help. You might also consider LDN.

My sister takes 42mg/Kg every day without breaks. It helps, but not as much as we would like.

   Hmm , i don't think so,, from 1 - 1 - 2010 until 20 - 10 - 2010 my mun canser only gain < 200 , and after she took dca in only 2 weeks her canser gain above 200 ,

   Hi Femau,
I'm so sorry to hear your mothers disease. But we have to be logical while we are dealing with serious diseases like cancer. ca 19-9 is kind of a glycoprotein coming from tumor cells. That makes it a tumor marker. All tumors secrete such glycoproteins like ca15-3, CEA etc.
DCA kills cells, so the proteins in these cells comes out of the cell when it dies. so may be, that could increase the markers. it is better to continue DCA because it does no harm to your mom. It is impossible that DCA (develops-increase) the disease. Dca just inhibits a unique enzyme which tm cells depends on. increasing of the markers does not always show that tumor is growing.

blood test again. I hope her ca 199 will be down

   Hi every one who read this,,
I just want to share to all of u,,

If u read my post before above, i increase dca dosage to 20mgkg,5 glass of black tea a day. until 7/12/2010 my mother goes to check her ca 199 and CT-scan at Sigapore general hospital.
Her result ca 199 is increase up to 3000 but based of her CT-scan her Tumor has'nt change from the first time.

Any one know ? how come ?

My mother take Xeloda as chemotherapy

   Hello evry one , jan - 8 -2011 my mother ca 199 mark as 78.000
she still can eat by her self as before, and without life suport yet.
I hope my mother cured some how
