My thanks to all the folks who make this message forum for DCA possible. Hello, this is my first post.My husband went through hell and then was so sick from his cancer treatments that he said the day before he died, "I can't live like this." He suffered from mouth cancer after years of smoking. His chemo and rad treatment left him so week that he went into the hospital when he started shaking. He got pnumonia from the hospital and lived with lung treatments and just gave up. I was his patient advocate and I think I got quite an education about the cancer treatment industry.
Now I have many friends all over the country who have various forms of cancer. I told them about DCA as soon as I discovered it a few weeks ago. They are so stuck in the medicine pardigm that they are not able to make the leap that a lowly researcher that I am could ever really really actually help them. I love them and pray for them and if God and the FDA and brave docs and vets and researchers as in the case of DCA can make it so, I will help The DCA site and anyone else. All I want to do is save lives.
Also I have nightmares that I might be a cancer recipient someday myself!
I really appreciate every single person who has posted here...I have learned a lot as I read all of them today...been up since dawn learning all I can about DCA. I will pray for all of us.
I just learned that DCA is a compound and not a drug per se, and that regular health food stores and pharmacies do not carry it. It seems there must be a large "compounding" pharmacy in every major metro area.
I wish someone in the U.S. would tell us where they got DCA, exactly with the name of the company that manufactures it for another disease. Until then I will google search for compounding pharmacies and make some calls in the San Diego area and get back to you asap.
Peace,
