"DCA as cancer prevention?"
| |
While reading through the site I noticed one human study article where DCA was used specifically on healthy men. The research showed that the men benefited from reduced lactic acid and increased oxygen uptake. So this makes me wonder if DCA might be taken regularly at low doses for these benefits plus possibly preventing cancer. Especially for those who have a history of cancer in their family. |

I see your point however I still don't know if the benefits might outweigh the risk. As a preventative medicine I'd imagine the dosage could be much smaller than what is recommended for treatment. If the risk for side effects in a 10mg/kg dose is minimal, a dosage half the size of that I would imagine would have an even smaller chance of causing adverse side effects. Though unless there is an increased risk of side effects from prolonged use. |

No! If there are any benefits they are probably related to metabolic stimulation - a large number of compounds will do this. Much better is regular exercise! The chronic dosing is very likely to enhance the likelihood of liver/nervous damage, and may lead to unpredictable metabolic changes. Eat fruit and veg, do some exercise. Simple things first - drugs only when absolutely necessary! |
