Liver and Bone.   Stage_4   carcinoma   She was given 4-6 months to live 15 months and 2 birthdays ago as of this month on the 20th, she is now 33 years old! She had her best response when taking abraxane and avastin with her DCA. She also had a high PH level so she got her cancer down to =.3 Centimeters, We stopped the dca due to coughing on our oncologists =nstructions and the chemo stopped working plus the cancer started to come back.  six_plus_months   1/4 teaspoon to 1/2 teaspoon per day during the last 3 months. She also takes Wisconsin Ginseng also proven to be more effective for chemo patients than asian forms. *** is also on the budwig diet and consumes 4 - 6 Tablespoons of flax seed oil and two tablespoons of flaxseeds with low fat cottage cheese and some blueberries all blended together into a drink or easy and fast consumption.  yes   does_not_eat_chocolate   no_alcohol   rarely_eats_sweets   No_red_meat_some_fish   She tries to keep her PH up becuase she had her best results when her PH was in the 8.+ range. DCA seemed to have less acid to deal with in her system and was much more effective for her. We cannot seem to get her PH back over 7.0 but we keep trying.  yes   no   no   *** is now on Avastin and Cisplatin on a weekly rotation of Low Dose amounts. These amounts seem to allow her to have hair and a life but the cycle of Gemzar and almita attacked her nerves so she is jsut atarting to walk around on her own sometimes without a walker. She went up the stairs and walked to the couch on her own this week without her walker. DCA is not the reason she had this bad bout - it was her low magnesium and potasium along with the above mentioned chemos. Folks need to watch out for those two chemos and take = LOT of L_Glutamine and B1 if they want to walk a couple months later!  no   no   no   no   no   no   no other medications are used other than an appetite enhancer they provide after chemo via her port.   yes   yes   yes   NOTE - DCA was not the reason for her loss of balance and nerves, it was her chemo so we were wrong about that = very wrong. She did get minor tingling and sleepyness but she also got hungrier and she has put on 5 pounds in 2 weeks (3 weeks after restarting dca)as of yesterday she is 83 pounds - up from 78 pounds.  yes   Yes_supportive   yes   N/A   yes   unsure     DCA is taking a bad rap for Chemo affects and Cancer issues. We did it in the past and now know its simply not the cause of our issues. *** is so much stronger with DCA in her system its amazing. I also beleive for Lung Cancer its best to drink it or have it in liquid form over just using a pill. We had much better and faster results when it was used in water with a bit of lemon squeezed in. *** is alive becuase of Jim and Heather and DCA of course. We (including our oncologist) who is brilliant to say the least know it has worked for ***. His question every time I see him is ( is she taking DCA?) I say yes and he says - keep her on it - it is helping the chemo - the chemo stopped working when she stopped so do not stop! What more can a doctor say than that - its working and we all know it!

12a update  human  male  70-79 167  pounds  Adrenal cortical carcinoma  Stage_4   500 mg 3 times a day  three_times_a_day  No  tummors were larger on last scan, but was not drink black tea. was drinking 2 cups of green tea   His last MRI on 3/27/08 showed some progression of the tumors and some new ones.  The radiologist also mentioned possible necrosis in the report.  We were hoping for necrosis to indicate that tumors were dying.  *** had to stop the DCA as he was getting trmors. He stopped the DCA on April 17, 2008. The tremors have subsided. Sorry as we we hoping that this would work.
       Prior to drinking the black tea, *** was not getting any caffiene.  He was drinking a cup of green tea before starting  the black tea.  He uses two tea bags to a cup and drinks about 4 of these cups a day.  The caffiene appears to be agreeing with ***.  We were concerned about his atrial fib and the caffiene, but that does not seem to be a rpoblem.     Larry feels and looks good.  He is a bit tired and takes one or 2 naps during the day.   Larry does not seem to be bothered with neuropathy.

There where multiple tumors in leg, lymphatic nodes and 1 in adrenal gland.  four_months  10mg/kg a day. one 1 month break from dca. and one 2 month break from dca. The cause was weakness and/or side effects.  twice_a_day  Yes  Tumor response -> she didn't take any chemo, or other therapy with DCA.
